A different kind of campsite โ right between the vines

Camping on a winery โ worth it?
Camping on a winery โ ever thought about it?
Just like we enjoy mixing up our off-road tracks, we also love finding new and different places to camp. And for that, the Margaret River Region is hard to beat.
Why the Margaret River Region is perfect for it
This part of Western Australia is known for its wineries โ and some of them offer something a little unexpected: the chance to camp right on their property.
The wineries we visited usually had a small number of campsites, spread out with plenty of space. Some overlooked the vineyards, others a quiet dam or the surrounding bushland.
And honestly โ where else in Western Australia do you get views like that?
What makes winery camping special
Weโve tried it ourselves, and it quickly became one of those experiences that just sticks with you.
Many wineries offer a complimentary wine tasting as part of your stay. So after setting up camp, you can walk over to the cellar door and end the day with a glass of wine instead of worrying about your next recovery.
For us, thatโs a pretty perfect combination.
BertaTracks insight
Not every great camp needs a rough track.
Sometimes itโs the places in between โ the ones you donโt expect โ that make a trip memorable. Winery camping is exactly that: a slower, more relaxed kind of off-road experience that still feels like an adventure.
