Berta Tracks is built on a simple belief: remote travel should unite freedom with thoughtful preparation. Western Australia offers extraordinary landscapes — yet it also demands clarity, careful planning, and respect for distance and terrain.

Through extended journeys across Western Australia’s coastal regions and remote inland tracks, this understanding became more than an idea — it became practice. Each journey reinforced the same lesson: the further you travel from sealed roads, the more preparation shapes the experience.

Today, Berta Tracks exists to support thoughtful off-road travelers exploring Western Australia with clarity and confidence. Through practical insight and structured preparation, each journey is shaped to begin with intention and unfold with greater freedom.

the people behind Berta tracks

Berta Tracks was founded by a couple with a shared commitment to exploring Western Australia beyond the obvious routes. In 2023, we set out on our first extended journey across Western and South Australia, spending three months travelling through coastal regions, remote tracks, and lesser-known landscapes.

That journey was not about ticking off destinations. It was about understanding distance, terrain, preparation, and the realities of travelling far from sealed roads. Returning again for another extended period only deepened that understanding.

Over thousands of kilometres off-road, experience replaced assumption. The lessons learned — about preparation, clarity, and respect for remote environments — now form the foundation of Berta Tracks.
